kitty kitty

OK.
So over Thanksgiving break I was out running on Saturday afternoon. I had finished my first few miles and came back to the house to grab a drink and some Gu and also picked up Anna to run my last few miles with me. When I got into the house, Beth came down the steps and told us that she was looking out her window and saw this car stopped on the road, she thought it was strange and a few seconds later the car door opened and a little ball of white fluff was ejected from the car!!! WHAT? So Anna and I ran down the road to see if we could find her and sure enough there was a little white kitty on the side of the road in the field covered in dirt. She came right to us and Anna picked her up and carried her back to the house where Beth fixed her up with some food in the garage and a cozy bed with a towel in a laundry basket : )

I, of course, am a huge cat lover. I had a cute kitty that I rescued from the humane society when I lived and Salt Lake City and I just loved her. She was my baby. When Eric and I got engaged and I realized I would be moving to the Caribbean, I knew it would be hard for me to keep her. I found a good home for her with my cousin Kyle and his wife Dilys, who had already adopted a cat and were open to another, at least Dilys was ; ) Letting her go was one of the hardest things! I was also emotional dealing with moving back to Iowa, quitting my job and saying goodbye to my fiance for several weeks. If you want to read more about Sammie go here

I haven't picked out a name for her because I don't want to get too attached! So, I just call her "kitty kitty". We have been keeping her out in the garage, but every time we open the door to the house she tries to run in! She also jumps into the car every time you open the door! She is too sweet. I think she is just starving for attention AND she is always hungry!! She eats A LOT. I don't think Jack (the cat of the house) is very happy with her sneaking his food inside the back door.

I have been going out into the garage a couple times a day to play with her and give her some attention and let her just inside the door to warm up. On Saturday Cathy let her in the house and she was loving life. She just pranced around checking everything out and climbing from lap to lap. So since then we've been letting her in the house each day for a few hours. One day I went outside to get her and she was no where to be found...I called her a few times and finally heard her meowing. I finally realized she was INSIDE the car!! Eric had to pop the hood to get her out!! I think it's so warm in there she just climbs right in and cuddles up next to the hot engine!! So now every time we go out to the car we have to make sure she isn't inside it! Crazy kitty!! We are trying to find a good home for her...I would love to keep her, but it's just not a good time for us to have a cat! Maybe once we get a little more settled. But I'm already feeling attached to those blue eyes and white fluffy tail.

Know anyone in the Twin Falls area who needs a fluffy kitty in their life?

: )

We are headed to Salt Lake City all weekend!
SOOO excited to see lots of friends and family and the temple square lights!
