 1. Eric finished up his surgery rotation in Scottsdale last week, 

the one thing I'll miss the most are the free cookies 

he brought home for me. 

2. We had a fun pizza party with the Tolmans. 

Thanks Howie for the best pizza! 

3. I made dinner! Yay. 

 4. Sometimes I don't make dinner and grab 

some delicious Chilli's to go! 

5. Eric made some very fun and creative cupcakes 

to take to our Halloween party.

sunrise trail

{SUNRISE TRAIL}

My friend Rebekah somehow got me out of bed at 4:45 AM to hike up a mountain to see the sunrise. Sounds terrible, right??! JUST KIDDING. It was so fun!! It was an incredible view seeing the sun hit the side of the mountain and turn it a beautiful orangy-red. Statia had some pretty amazing sunsets, but a sunset or sunrise in Arizona is just as breathtaking even without the ocean as a backdrop. What an incredible world God created for us to live in. We are so blessed. 

And getting up early wasn't sooo bad, I got to come home take a hot bath and nap on the couch : ) 

We will definitely be doing this again.

{INSTAGRAM}

       I'm on top of my game this week! Yay for posting an instagram on MONDAY!

Last week:

1. My friend Rebekah got me up at the crack of dawn to hike Sunrise Trail. 

If you know me at all, you know I am NOT a morning person. 

2. But this hike was totally worth waking up for!!

3. Eric has been taking care of my bro-in-laws truck the last 

few weeks while he's been in TX. 

I like being a two car family, not for long though. 

4. A Wendy's cup walks into a Chick-fil-A...

 5. The AC is officially OFF! 

Yay for cooler temps!

6. I guess that means Fall is in the air! 

 7. I went to a fun baby shower for Eric's cousin Brook. 

Good food, good company and some awesome gifts for her baby girl. 

8. I'm going to Time Out for Women this year with all the Lott girls in 

November and CAN'T WAIT. 

I found out Chris Williams is going to be there, I love his story and 

picked up his book and hope to meet him. 

9. The girls in our ward had their Young Women in Excellence 

program on Sunday and the theme was Brave. 

10. Missing this married woman like crazy these days. 

Come visit Abbie! She just put wedding photos 

up and it was fun remembering her special day.

Ok, pretend that today is Monday because I intentionally skipped my Monday because I wanted to wait and dedicate an instagram post to my in-laws : ) They left on Tuesday night and we MISS them but had a great time together. They flew in from Idaho last Friday night and we had a fun quick couple of days together. Here is a re-cap of all the fun things we did, insta style. 

1. Waiting for their plane to land...

3. We drove 2 hours North to visit AFRICA.

A Day to Cherish

{A Day to Cherish} 

A few weeks ago I had a fun weekend getting pampered with the girls from A Day to Cherish, Weddings and Celebrations. We got together at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa where a make-up artist and photographer were there waiting for us. We needed to update the website with new photos and bios of all us girls so we decided to make a day out of it! We had a fun time sitting around talking and laughing together and getting to know more about each other. We are all assistants to Cara and usually just spend time with her and maybe one other assistant on wedding days, so it was fun for all of us to be together. Here are a few photos from the day.

{OUT OF AFRICA} 

While Stan and Cathy were here we planned on visiting the Phoenix Zoo, but after doing a little research we found out the Zoo was going to be closing early the day we were planning to go. We decided to check out a few other fun places to visit in the area. Eric had heard good things about Out of Africa so we decided to check it out, and it did not disappoint! We had such a fun day hanging out with tigers and lions and giraffes and much much more!!

^ they did a tiger splash show that was AMAZING, we were behind the fence but the trainers weren't! They are pretty brave people. After the show we got to feed the tiger!
