girls weekend in Ut

{TIME OUT FOR WOMEN} 

A little while back Anna, Eric's sister, sent a message out to the 4 Lott girls and asked if anyone would be interested in a girls weekend to attend Time Out for Women in St. George. Everyone thought it was a great idea and by the end of the week I think we had the whole thing planned. I've been anticipating it for a while and the weekend finally arrived! It was my first EVER tofw and I had pretty high expectations from what I had heard from family and friends. The weekend was amazing and filled with incredible speakers who played in part in me walking away on a spiritual high. 

My 2 favorite moments were:

1. Meeting Michael McLean and 

2. Meeting Chris Williams 

(pictured below) 

I grew up hearing Michael McLean's name every holiday season when our family would pull out his music The Forgotten Carols. I became very familiar with the music and the story at a young age. I still love performing those songs during Christmas. Meeting him was pretty cool. My parents gifted us kids with special hard bound books of The Forgotten Carols and I was excited to have him sign mine. 

I have a somewhat recent love of Chris Williams. I first heard of him a few years ago when the Mormon Message video came out telling his story of forgiveness, only to find out a few months later the boy Cameron, who caused the accident that killed 4 of the Williams family members, was in my ward in Salt Lake City. Chris is a huge inspiration and I find him to be an incredible example. It was an honor to meet him and tell him in person how much I appreciate his example of faith and forgiveness.
