music

MUSIC. I really love music, but really do not like the radio. I have one of those handy dandy cassette adapters that I use to plug my phone or ipod in the car so I can listen to whatever music I want, but with all the traveling we've been doing, my music is starting to get old and boring so I tend to revert to the radio. Well, I quickly realized why I stopped listening to the radio in the first place. They play the same songs over and over and over again and so I'm using my blog to rant about it for a bit today. Blame the radio.

The top 10 songs I will be happy to never ever hear again in my lifetime:
(Listed in order of dislike, starting with the least)

10. Wide Awake {Katy Perry}
9. Payphone {Maroon 5}
8. Good Time {Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen}
7. Lights {Ellie Goulding}
6. Where Have You Been {Rihanna}
5. Give Your Heart A Break {Demi Lovato}
4. What Makes you Beautiful {One Direction}
3. We Are Young {Fun.}
2. Call Me Maybe {Carly Rae Jepsen}
1. Somebody That I Used to Know {Gotye}

Does anyone really enjoy hearing these same songs being played all day?
Maybe it's just me, but I'm over it.
I spent some time going through my itunes library of 7,090 songs and found some goodies.

A few oldies, a few newbies, a little country and a little pop and here is my playlist:

Faith When I Fall {Kip Moore}
Feel Again {OneRepublic}
Now That We're Done {Metro Station}
I Will Wait {Mumford & Sons}
Whatever It Takes {Leona Lewis}
Why Ya Wanna {Jana Kramer}
Kingdom Come {Coldplay}
Where You Are {Marc Broussard}
I Feel Bad {Rascal Flatts}
Right In Front Of You {Celine Dion}
Do You Remember {Jay Sean}
Just Go {Jesse McCartney}
Never Gone {Colton Dixon}
Let It Rain {JoJo}
Walkin' On The Moon {The Dream}

It's a start to get away from the ugly radio!

AND

I'm super excited for the full version of Please, Please Stay by Lucky Uke & Colbie Caillat to come out!
Here is a sneak peak:

  1. Umm, Lauren could listen to "Call Me Maybe" over and over and over again. Now Lindsey has it memorized! Brings a whole new meaning when your 3 year old sings it. Yikes.

  2. I totally understand. My CD player broke in my car once and while I was shopping around, and allocating some funds to replace it, I was stuck with the radio. I can never ever ever listen to Eminem's burn song ever again. It was on like every 3 mins. I laughed pretty hard when I heard Gotye on a rap channel (92.3). I guess he's no longer hipster.
